Through interactive activities, reflection, and practical tools, participants will learn how to identify and expand their influence, reduce harm through language, and foster a culture of belonging in both professional and personal settings.

Whether you’re looking to make an impact in your career, community, or personal relationships, this class will equip you with the skills to navigate bias, build trust, and contribute to meaningful, lasting change.

Presenter Bio

As a queer, first-generation American of the Asian diaspora, from an enslaved refugee family, huong tran (they/them) is mindfully dedicated to disrupting oppression.

huong founded MindfulHealing in 2009 as a transformative healing practice. With a focus on mindfulness and a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of healing and social justice, huong brings a unique thought leadership perspective to their consultations. Their holistic approach fosters a deep sense of community engagement, inviting individuals and organizations to embark on transformative journeys toward inclusivity and decolonization.

Throughout their journey, huong skillfully navigated the complexities of developing restorative and healing practices while assuming the vital roles of a community advocate and leader. They demonstrated exceptional dedication in amplifying strategically excluded voices, addressing power imbalances, and advocating for equity and justice within transformative spaces.

huong has a Master's of Science in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management. huong serves as a Commissioner for the Oregon Commission of Asian and Pacific Islanders Affairs and a member of Energy Trust of Oregon’s Diversity Advisory Council. With the combination of their lived experience as a holistic practitioner and restorative educator, they process potential stress and conflicts with the focus of reducing harm.
