Session Description

As activists, whether we are confronting oppressive forces in the streets, in institutions, or in other environments, attending to spiritual practice can help us bring our best and most effective selves to the work. This talk will present a few core spiritual practices geared toward activists: personal alignment, spiritual hygiene and boundaries, protection, and offensive tactics.

These essential skills will be offered in an adaptable form built on immediate lived experience that can suit activists of any spiritual beliefs or background, including those holding no spiritual beliefs.

Presenter Bio

Morpheus Ravenna is a genderfluid sorcerer, artist, ritual tattooist, and writer, residing in the East Bay area of California. Sí practices a spiritual pathway rooted in animism, folk magic, and Celtic polytheism which sí also carries into hir work as an activist confronting injustice. Sí has authored several books on Celtic magic and spirituality, and serves as a priest of the Coru Cathubodua Priesthood.
