From Inclusion to Interdependence

Social Enterprise as a Strategy for Collective Liberation

Kim Allchurch Flick, Beaverton, ORegon
LaToya "Patrice" Seawood, North Carolina
Polina Pinchevsky, Silver Spring, Maryland

Instructors from the Mighty Impacts Continuum discuss how social enterprises can serve as testing grounds for power-sharing, economic redistribution, and cultural shift. They will share practical tools and frameworks for rethinking what “business for good” looks like in a time of compounding crises.

Session Description

This dynamic panel brings together instructors from the Mighty Impacts Continuum, a practice-based learning community for impact-driven leaders who are designing regenerative, just, and liberatory enterprises. Together, these facilitators—each rooted in lived experience, business ownership, community-based organizing, and values-aligned business—will share stories and strategies that push far beyond traditional DEI frameworks. Rather than focusing on representation alone, they offer models of transformation that center relationship, reciprocity, and repair.

Panelists will reflect on and explore how social enterprises can serve as testing grounds for power-sharing, economic redistribution, and cultural shift. Attendees will gain insight into practical tools and frameworks being used in the Continuum, along with invitations to rethink what “business for good” looks like in a time of compounding crises.

Expect a session that is honest, generative, and grounded in the idea that solidarity is not a strategy—it’s a way of being.
